Cryptographic Commitments
ESTABLISHEDUNDER CONSIDERATION
A commitment such as hash(secret || salt) lets the protocol store a binding value without learning the secret. Hash-based constructions are widely believed to remain secure against known quantum attacks at adequate output sizes.
A HASH IS NOT A VAULT
Publishing a hash on-chain does not hide balances or activity. Anyone can see which commitment received which amount. Privacy requires additional mechanisms that AFTRKEY has not designed.
